Its been a bit crazy and I missed a few workouts so I couldn't do the 45days in a row. This weekend I competed in my first blackbelt tournament which was alot tougher than I expected! I have to start training harder as I now know what to expect. I am jumping back on the bandwagon and try to workout back at 5 times a week. I am going to step up my karate training so that I can spar again at the next tournament.
Hope everyone else is working out too!

I hurt but I am going to work out
After yesterday's sparring session I am left with a very sore body! Moving my legs hurt so bad right now and all the Aleve in the world is not helping. I am determined to work on my upper body only tonight and do some crunches. Anything involving, running, squats, lunges - are not going to happen. I am sticking to my EA challeng and don't know what is in store. I am waiting to work out later tonight so that my legs will feel better - I hope.
Hope everyone else is sticking to it!!! tomorrow HipHop at Lifetime!

OH my sparring kicked my butt

I attended the Ross Levine Sparring seminar in preparation for the big NASKA event - the Lonestar Open this morning and I am hurting! It was 2 hours of conditioning, sparring and plain evil! Ross was the best - he wasn't letting us get away with any rest - it was push ups, squats, blitzing techniques and sparring. My legs were shaking at the end. I have to say that I did learn a lot and feel a bit better about my sparring abilities. The LoneStar will be my first tournament as a black belt so I have to step up my game. I will be doing the conditioning drills he taught for the next 2 weeks! Burned LOTS of calories during these 2 hours. Now I just want a hot tub to soak in!
Hope everyone else is keeping up with the program!

Haven't given up yet
EA Active is keeping me straight on this 45 day challenge. I have been doing the 30 day challenge in addition to my regular workouts. I did Barbell strength class yesterday that was awesome! Today I did my Wii workouts which I have to say do make you sweat!
Tomorrow its off to the Ross Levine Seminar for Sparring for 2 hours.
Hope everyone is doing well!

EA Active - go get one!
OMG - I got the EA Active thanks to US Weekly contest. I tried it out last night and did the 30 day challenge. I was skeptical at first because its Wii & its a game but I have to tell you I setup my profile and put in my correct stats (didn't lie), and picked medium intensity. The workout is 25 minutes and consist of running, lunges, squats and exercises with the bands. There was also some kickboxing - which I have to say is my FAVORITE! By the end of the 25 minutes I was sweating! It also keeps track of calories burned which were 151 not alot but more then just sitting on the couch!
I am going to do the 30 day challenge along with my regular workouts and see if the results - which were varied from other blogs - is around 7lb loss.
Keep working out all!

The Weekend recap
Only worked out very lightly this weekend. Saturday took care of my sick boyfriend and so I only worked out briefly at home doing some leg lifts and sit ups. Sunday did ALOT of housework which does burn calories and I am counting that as my workout! There was lifting involved and lots of walking.
Today I was not feeling well but I am very excited because I just got EA Active for the Wii - so I am starting today the 30 day challenge and from reading other blogs I heard it works. I will post how it goes with that. Tomorrow its back to Lifetime to resume my gym workouts but also adding my EA Active workouts!
Hope everyone is doing well!

I am feeling it today
Hit the gym yesterday and took Barbell Strength class. Barbell Strength was a good class. I started out to light on my bar but during the class we had a chance to add or take off weight - so I was able to build up. The good thing about yesterday was that most people stayed home to watch the BCS game so the class which normally has 20 -30 people had 7. It was my first time to the class so Azel (the instructor) was able to break down all the forms and check to see if everyone was doing them correctly.
Today I feel the burn in my arms but I am set to keep doing this class - I need all the weight training I can get! My upper body is not as strong as my lower body so I am hoping to see a turn around in that in a month.
Whats up for the weekend -- Karate tomorrow - sparring and forms! Sunday - Barbell Strength class & Yoga. Tonight - I am going to work on sit ups and squats - trying to take it a bit lighter because - 1. my muscles are starting to get sore and 2. Its REALLY cold outside and don't want to go anywhere!
Everyone have a fun and safe weekend! Keep up the 45 day challenge!
